Houston released seven studio albums: "Whitney Houston" (1985), "Whitney" (1987), "I'm Your Baby Tonight" (1990), "My Love Is Your Love" (1998), "Just Whitney" (2002), "One Wish: The Holiday Album" (2003)  and "I Look to You" (2009), And two soundtrack albums: "The Bodyguard"(1992), "The Preacher's Wife"(1996).

Whitney was found dead on a bathtub in the Beverly Hilton, Beverly Hills, California on February 11, 2012 . Her death was caused by drowning and the "effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use".

Houston is always remembered for her most popular song of all time "I Will Always Love You".  This was a her cover song, the song is originally recorded in 1973 by American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton. The song spent 14 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is one of the best-selling singles of all time. It also holds the record for being the best-selling single by a woman in music history. And it re-entered the charts in 2012 after her death, making it the second single ever to reach the top three on the Billboard Hot 100 in separate chart runs.
